What is the Qibla?

The Qibla is the direction Muslims face during prayer, pointing toward the Kaaba inside Masjid al-Haram in Makkah. Since the Kaaba sits at a fixed point on Earth, the correct direction depends entirely on where you are standing — it changes from city to city and is not simply "east" or "toward Saudi Arabia."

How the direction is calculated

This tool calculates the great-circle bearing between your coordinates and the Kaaba's exact location (21.4225°N, 39.8262°E) — the shortest path across the curved surface of the Earth, which is the same method used by mosque architects and Islamic scholars.

How to use it
